A community who prefer in hunting rats, I met them last week. A nearby my village, a majority of Tharu community lives. The Tharus are supposed as a Farming communities in Nepal. Tharus whom I met love to hunt rat, they prefer rat meat. One of them told "Rat hunting is a sport here".
After they harvest, they go looking for rats in burrows in rice terraces. They put their hands in the holes or simply pour water in the holes to make the rodents to come out.
