Google AI shares fell by 100 billion dollars

Google's recently released chatbot 'Bard' has given wrong answers, and the share price of the company has fallen drastically.

The company's shares fell by more than 100 billion dollars after the chatbot gave wrong answers in the artificial intelligence (AI) search event organized by the company on Wednesday.

The video of the event was going live on YouTube. In the program organized to promote the new chatbot, after the wrong answer was received from the chatbot, all-round criticism has started.

This weakness was first discovered by the international media Reuters. The question which satellite was the first to photograph a planet outside the Earth's solar system was answered incorrectly.

After the incident, the company's share price dropped by 8 percent to $99.40 per share. While promoting 'Bard', Google claimed on Twitter that the chatbot answers complex questions correctly.

Within a few hours of the tweet, the chatbot gave the wrong answer. The tweet can still be viewed by clicking here. With the announcement of Microsoft's inclusion of ChatGPT in its search engine 'Bing', Google organized an AI search program.

The advertisement shown by the company at the event asked "What new discoveries from the James Webb Space Telescope (JWST) can I tell my 9-year old about?" .

It means, "What can the new thing discovered by the James Webb Space Telescope (JWST) tell me about my 9-year-old self? Yes." This question is very roundabout.

In response to this question, Bard gave an unconfirmed answer. Bard replied that James Webb was the first to take photographs of the outer solar system. While the picture outside the solar system was first captured by the European Southern Observatory's Very Large Telescope (VLT).

According to NASA, the photo was taken in 2004. A spokesperson of Google has admitted that Bard gave the wrong answer because it was a test period. He said that after this tool is publicly available, the company will provide the information as claimed.
