Twitter CEO Elon Musk said that he is experiencing artificial intelligence (AI) existential anxiety. A little AI existential angst today, Musk said in a tweet on Sunday. But, all things considered with respect to AGI existential anxiety, I would prefer to be alive now to see AGI than to be alive in the past and not. He later posted, AI plus human versus AI plus human is the next step, but the human part will decrease in relevance over time, except perhaps at will, like our limbic system does to our cortex.
Many users expressed their views on Musk's post. While one user asked, do you think there's ever been a little bit of existential human anger in AI? To which Musk replied, Some. Earlier this month the tech billionaire warned that AI is one of the biggest risks to the future of civilisation.
Musk told attendees of the World Government Summit in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, when asked how he sees technology developing 10 years from now, to which he said, "It's both positive or negative and It has great, great promise, great potential, but with it comes great danger.
I think we clearly need to regulate AI security. I think it's actually a bigger risk to society than cars or planes or drugs. In July 2020, Musk claimed that AI would be smarter than any human and would overtake us by 2025.
